MUZZ the gladiator? It could be on the cards after Rusty Crowe made a beeline for Graham Murray after the Souths game last weekend.
Russ hit the Cowboys shed at fulltime to say bad luck, and introduced himself to Muzz and NQ CEO Peter Parr.

Crowe had the Cowboys coach blushing when he finished by saying he had always wanted to meet Murray, who played for the Bunnies from 1981 to 1983. Jason Taylor may want to start winning some more games.

No rabbit's foot

THE heat is getting too much to handle for some at Souths. We hear Souths co-owner Peter Holmes a Court is set to quit as executive chairman at the end of the season. Holmes a Court is not keen on the day-to-day pressure and politics of football life.

Just confirmed on 2KY,Graham Murray told Peter Peters at Gosford last nite after the Manly Cowboys game that he will not coach again in the NRL or the UK Super League. He will still reside in Nth Queensland and is going into buisness with a former teammate.

Sometimes it is sad the way some good coaches bow out of the game. Muzz deserves better.

Murray for CEO ??

Murrays life out of Football is as a Maths teacher, I doubt CEO would interest him at this stage of his life, with the wealth he has acrued.

It is indeed a shame.

The bloke is a top shelf coach, and has been shafted from several clubs after some outstanding on field results.

I think he would make a great "director of coaching" at SS, but good luck to him if wants to sit back and take it easy. He has earnt his rest.
